Ferry Bératon

Ferry Bératon , actually Ferdinand Peratoner (born December 6, 1859 in Vienna , † February 11, 1900 in Venice ) was an Austrian painter, sculptor and writer who worked in Paris and Vienna.

Ferry Bératon studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 1876 and continued his studies privately in Vienna with Hans Canon and in Venice with Ludwig Passini .

He then studied for seven years in Paris with Émile Auguste Carolus-Duran and Léon Bonnat .

From 1885 he was based in Vienna. He mainly painted portraits and genre pictures, and was also active as a sculptor and writer. He also provided drawings for “ Die Gartenlaube ”.
