Building description

The church is a small Gothic long building with a three-eighth closure and a Baroque extension on the south side. The tower above the south-west corner of the ship has round-arched, baroque sound windows and is crowned by an onion helmet with a lantern. A low, open pillar porch the width of a ship protects the grooved pointed arch portal. Next to the portal is a stone sacrificial table. Remains of Friulian painting from 1400 have been preserved in the gable of the west facade. In the middle, a nimbled woman is depicted , to whom a floating angel is putting a crown, with two circular medallions on each side. Objects of daily life are depicted in the spaces in between, and a butcher's or cloth shop in the medallions. The representations are intended to address the sanctification of Sunday.

Inside, a basket arch opening connects the nave with the south aisle. Both rooms have a flat roof. An arched opening leads from the wooden west gallery into the tower. The pointed, chamfered triumphal arch is slightly drawn in and connects the nave with the single-bay choir. In the choir, a ribbed vault rests on consoles, the keystone is marked with 'Maria'. A round arch portal leads from the south wall of the choir into the sacristy . The end of the choir is illuminated by a pointed arch window and a basket arch window, the nave on the north side through a round arched window and the aisle through two basket arched windows.
