Status: end of career

Filippos Darlas ( Greek Φίλιππος Δάρλας , born October 23, 1983 in Agrinio ) is a former Greek football player .

Career

Filippos Darlas began his professional career in 1999 at the Agrinio-based association Panaitolikos. For the 2001/2002 season, Darlas moved from the western Greek club to Panathinaikos Athens . After just a single assignment, Darlas was loaned out to Kallithea FC the following year and then to Marko, a club in the Greek third division. For the 2004/2005 season Darlas moved to Apollon Athens before he returned to Panathinaikos for the 2005/2006 season.

With the Athenians , Darlas, who was only seen as a supplementary player when he was signed, made the leap into the starting eleven after just a few game days. Convincing performances were attested to Darlas, who plays on the left defensive position, from the Greek press, especially in his first appearances in the Champions League against Werder Bremen and FC Barcelona .

In addition to a regular place at Panathinaikos, Darlas managed to play in the circle of the Greek national team under Otto Rehhagel .
