The Fillière is a river in France that runs in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the former municipality of Thorens-Glières , which was merged into the Commune nouvelle Fillière since 2017 . The source is located south of the Plateau de Glières , the source stream is known as Ruisseau de Paccot . The Fillière initially drains generally in a north-westerly direction, swings abruptly to the south in the last third of its course and flows into the Fier as a right tributary after a total of 24 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Argonay and Villaz .
