The Finnemore Peak is a 2050 m high mountain peak in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the group of the Apocalypse Peaks, it rises at the southern end of the ridge that separates the head ends of the Wreath Valley and the Albert Valley .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2005 after the US geoscientist Michelle Rogan Finnemore, who worked in the Antarctic winter of 1990 as a team leader for the geodetic and seismological measurements carried out by the United States Geological Survey at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station and in the winter of 1992 was involved in satellite measurements and ionospheric studies at the University of Texas at Austin at McMurdo Station .
