Fyodor Nikolayevich Glinka
Fyodor Glinka ( Russian Фёдор Николаевич Глинка , scientific. Transliteration Fedor Nikolaevich Glinka ; born June 8 . Jul / 19th June 1786 greg. In Sutoki, Smolensk , † February 11 jul. / 23. February 1880 greg. In Tver ) was a Russian writer .
Fyodor Glinka, younger brother of Sergei Nikolajewitsch Glinka , took part in the Battle of Austerlitz in 1805 , rejoined the army in 1812 under the threat of Napoleon and became adjutant to Count Miloradowitsch in the campaigns against France. In 1819 he became chairman of the Free Society of Lovers of Russian Literature . He joined the Decembrists and was expelled to Petrozavodsk in 1826 . However, he was soon allowed to return.
He died in Tver on February 23, 1880 .
