The flag of Galicia has a blue stripe on a white flagpole that is perpendicular to the flagpole. The coat of arms of Galicia is inserted in the middle of the cloth .

The flag of Galicia goes back to the historic sea flag of the city and province of A Coruña . In the center of the flag is the coat of arms of the former Kingdom of Galicia with the Spanish crown above it. It dates from the 10th and 11th centuries and shows a golden chalice , a silver host and seven silver crosses that go back to the seven ancient provinces of Galicia.
