The flag of Navarre is a red flag cloth. In the middle the coat of arms of Navarre is inserted.

The flag of Navarre is solid red and shows the historical coat of arms of Navarre in the middle. Above it the crown of the Kingdom of Navarre . The coat of arms dates from the 13th century and shows gold chains on a red background and a green emerald in the middle. The chains that protected the camp of Caliph Muhammad an-Nasir during the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa and that, according to legend , were broken by King Sancho VII of Navarre himself, are represented; the green emerald is said to come from the caliph's turban.
