Flamingo Island is one of the small penguin islands on the Namibian Atlantic coast . It is located in the north of the Lüderitz Bay , about 60 meters from the mainland. At low tide there is a connection to this. Flamingo Island is around 320 meters long and up to 120 meters wide.
The uninhabited island was used for guano mining in the past .
