Flickflack during vaulting ( Simone Wiegele )

From a standing position with the arms held up at an angle, the body is shifted back with simultaneous bending of the knee joints (90 °) and hip joints. The jump backwards takes place by stretching the knee and hip joints and opening the arm-trunk angle to the maximum, the body is hyperextended. In the flat first flight phase, the body is overstretched and the head is in the neck position. The support takes place with the hands turned inwards; the trunk is hyperextended, the arm-trunk angle open. After the body has passed over the support point, the hip joints are quickly bent and, when they are slowed down, the impression from the ground occurs. In the 2nd flight phase, the body is straightened and the landing on both legs takes place.

Flick flack

In floor exercise, the flickflack is often used as a connecting element to difficulties such as somersault , double somersault , triple somersault , tsukahara , screw somersault and similar elements. On the balance beam , the Flickflack is performed both as a separate exercise part and as a connection to somersault elements. Flickflacks are now also being performed on the jump .

Usage of names

In addition to André Heller's successful variety show "Flic Flac" (1981/1982 on a European tour), Flickflack was also the namesake for the popular Flic Flac circus .

Furthermore, in the 1980s, a piece of play equipment was called Flickflack, in which two players shot each other a kind of plastic buoy that was threaded onto two cords held by them with quick arm movements.
