Florence Malgoire (born March 9, 1960 in Dugny ) is a French violinist ( baroque violin ) and conductor.

Florence Malgoire's father, the musician Jean-Claude Malgoire , had a significant influence on her career. Malgoire studied at the Courneuve Conservatory and with Sigiswald Kuijken . She played with the ensembles La Petite Bande (S. Kuijken), La Chapelle Royale ( Philippe Herreweghe ), Il seminario (Gérard Lesne), Les Arts Florissants ( William Christie ), Les Musiciens du Louvre ( Marc Minkowski ), Les Talents Lyriques ( Christophe Rousset ) and with the Grande Écurie under her father.

She appears as a soloist with the Arts Florissants and the Grande Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy . She held masterclasses and summer courses in Rio de Janeiro, at the Sablé sur Sarthe Festival, in Vielsalm, in Dieppe, in Paris and in Reims. In 1991 she co-founded the ensemble Les Nièces de Rameau .

Her most recent recordings are the sonatas by Jean Cassanéa de Mondonville , trio sonatas by Marin Marais , Récréations by Jean-Marie Leclair and trio sonatas by Henry Purcell with “Les Nièces de Rameau”. In 2003 she founded LES DOMINOS , an ensemble in various compositions that is present at numerous renowned festivals: in Beaune , Agapé in Geneva , at the Festival du Haut-Jura, the Festival de Sablé, Theatro de San-Carlo in Naples and others.

Florence Malgoire has been teaching baroque violin and chamber music at the early music department at the Geneva Conservatory since 2000, and in September 2015 she took over a class for baroque violin at the Schola Cantorum de Paris . Parallel to her solo career, she appears as a conductor. For example, she directed the performance of Jean-Philippe Rameau's Grands motets on behalf of Radio Suisse Romande . In 2008 she received an invitation from William Christie to help set up the new department for historical performance practice at the Juilliard School .
