Florencia Soledad Jaimes (born January 20, 1989 in Nogoyá , Entre Ríos ), mostly just called Sole for short in Brazil , is an Argentine soccer player .

Career

society

Sole began her career at fifteen in a youth team at CA River Plate in Buenos Aires , and later moved to local arch-rivals Boca Juniors . With both of them she won various Apertura and Clausura championships in their country. Because women's football in Argentina remained at amateur level, she was one of the first Argentines to venture to switch to Brazilian football in 2014 and played for Foz Cataratas FC in the 2015 Copa do Brasil , where she scored her first four goals. Immediately thereafter, she switched to São Paulo FC , with whom she reached the final of the São Paulo state championship in late summer 2015.

Due to the subsequent dissolution of the women's team of the SPFC, Sole joined the newly established team of Santos FC in late 2015 . Here she made her breakthrough in the 2016 state championship, after securing the top scorer's crown with sixteen goals in eighteen games and shooting the club into the final. She once again proved her persistent scoring risk in the Série-A1 2017 with eighteen goals in nineteen games, thus securing the top scorer's crown and her club the championship title of this season.

In January 2018, Sole's move to Dalian Quanjian FC in the Chinese league was announced.

National team

Sole was part of the Argentine Selección femenina at the U-20 World Cup in Chile 2008 , where she scored the only goal of her team in the preliminary round. She has been running regularly for the senior squad since 2013.
