Floreta Faber

Floreta Faber (born March 19, 1968 , Shkodra , Albania ) is an Albanian manager and diplomat . She has been her country's ambassador to the United States since 2015 .

Life

Faber graduated from the University of Tirana with a degree in economics in 1990 . She obtained an additional Master of Science degree in international marketing and strategy in 1995 in a two-year program at the Norwegian School of Management in Oslo , Norway, with a time as an exchange student at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, USA . Faber received another master’s degree from the private Marin Barleti University (UMB, Universiteti Marin Barleti ) in Tirana . She has completed a variety of leadership development programs and training, including the United States Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and Harvard University with areas of focus such as leadership , international relations and diplomacy .

From 1995 to 2000 Faber worked in various management positions at the consulting and auditing company Deloitte & Touche in Tirana and Prague . Then she was director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Albania (American Chamber of Commerce in Albania) , which was founded in the 2000th

In January 2015, Floreta Faber was appointed Ambassador of Albania to the United States. On May 18, 2015, she presented her letter of accreditation to President Barack Obama .

Faber is married to a surgeon and has a daughter and a son.
