Florian Glatzl (born May 21, 1993 ) is an Austrian natural toboggan runner from Navis in Tyrol. He rides in a single-seater and started the World Cup for the first time in 2011 .

Career

Florian Glatzl started in the Intercontinental Cup from the 2007/2008 season. After finishing in the top ten for the first time in winter 2009/2010, he celebrated his first victory in the first race of the 2010/2011 season in Saint-Oyen . At the end of the winter he finished second overall in the Intercontinental Cup behind the Italian Lukas Brunner .

At the beginning of February 2011 Glatzl took part for the first time in an international junior championship, the European junior championship in Laas . As the best Austrian, he achieved fourth place; He was eight tenths of a second short of the medal ranks. On February 26, 2011, he made his debut in the World Cup in the last race of the 2010/2011 season in Olang . With rank 14 he reached a placement in the front midfield. In the following season 2011/2012 Florian Glatzl did not take part in any competition due to injury.
