Florian Höltgen

Florian Höltgen (born June 3, 1985 in Cologne ) is a German writer . Under the pseudonym Alex Seinfriend he published his first novel 1 Trip 2 Kill (2005) in Himmelstürmer Verlag . He is best known for his romance novels in the Junge Liebe publishing series .

Life

Höltgen studied German , philosophy and history in Cologne and now works as a librarian . He has lived in Düsseldorf with his long-term partner since 2009 .

Höltgen began writing while he was still at school. His first short stories were published under the pseudonyms "Alex Seinfriend" and "Jules Vierge Lubrique" in anthologies of the Himmelstürmer Verlag . With his novel Ein Tag am See (2006) he published under his real name for the first time and has been an integral part of the Junge Liebe publishing series ever since . In his books, Höltgen humorously addresses the problem areas of coming out , sex and love of homosexual young people.

As "Alex Seinfriend", Höltgen writes gay thrillers and novels with a focus on homosexual eroticism .

Höltgen also publishes books as book-on-demand in order to have more freedom here. In Nacht am See he tells the story of a schizophrenic illness in a rather unconventional way .
