Florian Hartung

Florian Hartung (* 20th century ) is a German author , director and entrepreneur . He is the sole shareholder and managing director of the Berlin production company Februar Film GmbH .

Life

After studying music and media studies, history and German at the Free University of Berlin , he completed a postgraduate course in media management at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media . He then completed a traineeship and was an assistant in the chief editor of SAT.1 . From 1992 to 1995 he worked as an editor on the political talk show " Talk in the Tower " and editor-in-chief for a portrait series "Machtmenschen". From 1996 to 1999 he was a correspondent in London and then for about one and a half years head of the service at Deutsche Welle in Berlin .

Since 2001 he has been active as an author and director with documentaries and also worked for them as a film producer and editor-in-chief a. a. as a freelancer for the Cologne-based production company Pro GmbH , founded by Alfred Biolek , in which Dirk Bach was also involved and which, among other things, produced people at Maischberger , which declared insolvency at the beginning of 2010 and went into bankruptcy . As their successor company in Berlin, he founded the Februar Film UG , based in Berlin. Since March 2010, the company has been managed in the legal form of a GmbH as February Film GmbH ; Florian Hartung is the sole shareholder and managing director. He continues to work as a director. In addition to these activities, he also teaches as a lecturer at the German School of Journalism in Munich .

Cinematic creation

As an editor, Hartung was responsible for TV portraits of Joschka Fischer and Ignatz Bubis . He was also the author of the ZDF series “Dictators” and “White Hell Himalaya” as well as the producer and author of numerous documentaries.
