Dirk Pohlmann (born August 11, 1959 ) is a German author , screenwriter and director of documentaries .

Life

According to his own statements , Pohlmann studied journalism , philosophy and law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. He then acquired a commercial pilot license . He was the managing director of CargoLifter World , which went bankrupt in 2002 with the parent company Cargolifter .

Act

Pohlmann was the author of documentaries for arte and ZDF . These include The Secret Air War of the Superpowers (arte, 2004), UFOs, Lies and the Cold War (arte, 2005), Mengeles Heirs (arte, 2010) and Israel and the Bomb (arte / ZDF, 2012).

Until April 2020 he ran a YouTube channel with teacher Markus Fiedler with a video series critical of Wikipedia under the title “Stories from Wikihausen”. An interim injunction against a group of Wikipedia critics, which affected him, among other things , because they had disclosed the identity of a pseudonymous Wikipedia author, was lifted in early 2019. The court accepted the view that the "applicant had [edited] Wikipedia articles in an opinion-based manner" and that the disclosure of the user's pseudonym was necessary and in the public interest.

Pohlmann repeatedly gives interviews to channels such as the Russian state broadcaster RT Deutsch and Sputnik News and contributes articles for the Internet portal KenFM . Pohlmann also contributes to various blogs , appears on NuoViso.TV and moderates the video channel “The 3rd Millennium” on ExoMagazinTV with Robert Fleischer and Mathias Bröckers .

criticism

The author Wolfgang Bittner arranges in his book The Conquest of Europe through the USA. A strategy of destabilization, escalation and militarization using the example of the events in Ukraine, the film Pohlmann's Deception - The Reagan Method as a "highly informative, horror-provoking" film, which also addresses other covert operations on the part of the USA.
