Florian Martin Müller (born November 19, 1977 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian classical and Roman provincial archaeologist .

Life

Florian Müller passed his Matura at the Academic Gymnasium in Innsbruck in 1996 . From 1997 to 2005 he studied Classical and Provincial Roman Archeology, Ancient History and Archeology, Prehistory and Early History as well as Medieval and Modern Archeology at the University of Innsbruck . Researches

Since 1998 Florian Müller has participated in numerous archaeological excavations, prospecting and discovery campaigns from the Mesolithic to modern times in Austria ( e.g. in Aguntum , Carnuntum , Oberlienz , at the Zienerbichl in Serfaus , at the St. Nicholas Church in Matrei in East Tyrol ) and Italy (Ascoli Satriano , Pompeii ) or was in charge of it. Florian Müller's main research areas are the history of science, archeology, history of collections, historical museology and the reception of antiquities. He also deals with the Romans in Tyrol and the Italian peoples of southern Italy. Müller has been co-editor of the SPECTANDA series of publications of the Innsbruck Archaeological Museum since 2012 and sits on the board of the Innsbruck Archaeological Society , the Association for the Promotion of Urban Archeology and City History in Hall in Tyrol and the Archaeotop Hohe Birga Association.
