Florian Musso
Florian (Hans Herbert) Musso (born May 2, 1956 in Cologne ) is a German architect and university professor at the architecture faculty of the Technical University of Munich ( TUM ).
Life
After graduating from high school in 1974, Musso studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and the University of Virginia (UVA) until he graduated in 1982. He was an assistant at the RWTH Aachen and the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) from 1982 to 1986 and senior assistant at the ETH Zurich in 1987. From 1989 to 1999 he taught construction at the EIA Friborg / CH and in 2002 was appointed professor for design, building construction and building materials science (EBB) at TUM. The research of the chair focuses on subsystems in industrial construction, renovation and new materials. Musso was visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania (PENN) and the University of Arizona (UAZ) and writes irregularly in the real estate section of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ).
Since 1987, Musso has been running an architecture office with Claudine Lorenz in Sion / CH (since 2002 Munich ) that works a lot in the field of civil engineering architecture. The works of the office include the town hall of Monthey / CH, the control tower of the Sion / CH military airport, the Swisscom training center in Martigny / CH, the festival hall and triple sports hall in Friborg / CH, the Leuk / CH train station , the 2nd SBB Rhine bridge in Basel / CH, the Bieudron hydropower plant in Nendaz / CH, the associated visitor center and the Veytaux pumped storage power plant in Montreux / CH.
