Florian Pitschl

Florian Pitschl (born June 26, 1947 in Aldein , South Tyrol ) is an Italian , Roman Catholic theologian , philosopher and pastor .

Education and career

Pitschl graduated from the Johanneum in Dorf Tirol , graduated in 1967. Pitschl was ordained a priest in Rome in 1974 and obtained a doctorate in philosophy in Regensburg in 1978 .

In 1986 Pitschl became professor of philosophy at the Philosophical-Theological University of Brixen . In 1989 Pitschl was also appointed Spiritual of the Brixen seminary. In 1990 Ptischl fell ill with larynx cancer , while Pitschl continued to teach during his illness. Since 1997 Pitschl has taught several times as a guest lecturer at the seminar of the Neocatechumenal Way Redemptoris Mater in Berlin . In 2005 Pitschl was reappointed Spiritual of the seminary for a short time. With the academic year 2008/2009 gave up his teaching activity, since he became pastor of Obermais in Meranhad been appointed. On September 1, 2016, he was appointed pastor of Algund and Marling.
