Teodor Oizerman ( Russian Теодор Ильич Ойзерман , born May 1, jul, / 14. May  1914 greg. In Petrowerowka in Tiraspol , Kherson Gubernia , Russian Empire , now: Rajon Schyrjajewe , Odessa , Ukraine ; † 25. March 2017 in Moscow ) was a Russian philosopher and historian of philosophy .

Life

Born to Jewish parents in southern Ukraine, Oiserman studied at the Moscow Institute for Philosophy, Literature and History ( Russian Московский институт философии, литературы и истории ) and graduated in 1938. He taught at the Plekhanov Economic Academy before taking the chair in the history of philosophy at Moscow University . In 1966 he became a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR . On October 29, 1981, he became an academician there . He was head of department at the Institute for Philosophy at the same academy in Moscow and the author and editor of several books on Marx , Hegel and Marxist philosophy . He is also an external member of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences .
