Florian Streibl
Florian Streibl (born April 10, 1963 in Munich ) is a German local and state politician ( free voters ). He has been the parliamentary group leader of the Free Voters in the Bavarian State Parliament since 2018 , to which he has been a member since 2008.
Life / career
Florian Streibl is a son of the former Bavarian Prime Minister Max Streibl .
After graduating from high school in 1984, he first studied theology until 1989 and then law . He was admitted to the bar in 1997.
Streibl belonged to the CSU from 1988 to 1993 , joined the Oberammergau voter group for our village in 2001 and became a member of the Free Voters Bavaria in 2008 .
In the state election in 2008 , he entered the Bavarian state parliament for the first time via the list in the constituency of Upper Bavaria . He ran in the constituency of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen , where he achieved the second-best result after Martin Bachhuber from the CSU with 14.3% of the first votes . He was re-elected in the state elections on September 15, 2013 and October 14, 2018 ; In 2018 he achieved the highest number of votes among free voters in Upper Bavaria.
Until 2018 he was the parliamentary managing director of the Free Voters parliamentary group, belongs to the committee for constitution, law, parliamentary questions and consumer protection , the committee for petitions and complaints and the data protection commission of the Bavarian state parliament. Streibl played a key role in the creation of the committee of inquiry into the Gustl Mollath case in 2013 and was then one of the two chairmen alongside Florian Herrmann (CSU). He was also a member of the investigation committee into the Schottdorf affair .
On November 5, 2018, Streibl was elected leader of the Free Voters parliamentary group with 21 out of 27 votes.
Streibl is married and has two children.
He is also chairman of the diocesan council of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising .
