Escape from Zahrain is a 1962 adventure film directed by Ronald Neame .
action
A revolution breaks out in the fictional Arab state of Zahrain. Several people persecuted by the new regime decide to flee through the desert, which seems hopeless. As must come, luck, gasoline and water supplies leave the protagonists, and the pursuers stay on their tracks. Character weaknesses create additional conflict potential.
Reviews
The lexicon of the international film was not very enthusiastic: “The exhausting escape of an Arab nationalist and his companions in an ambulance through the desert - among other things through a badly tricked sandstorm. Attempt of a suspense film based on the - more successful - model ice cold in Alexandria - firestorm over Africa . "
