The airport Palanga ( lit. Palangos oro uostas , IATA code PLQ , ICAO code EYPA ) is the international airport of the Baltic Sea resort (health resort) Palanga and the port city of Klaipėda in Lithuania . It is primarily of seasonal importance when there are stopovers for flights from Vilnius here. As a branch it belongs to the state enterprise VĮ Lietuvos oro uostai . Until July 1, 2014, the airport was an independent company ( valstybės įmonė Tarptautinis Palangos oro uostas ).
Directions
- Car : 7 km to Palanga , 32 km to Klaipėda
- Bus : about every hour to Palanga and Klaipėda, individual long-distance buses to Panevezys, Sventojy and Siauliai and - not daily - to Liepaja (Latvia)
Airlines and Destinations
As of November 2013, Palanga is not served from German-speaking countries. Air Baltic flies to Riga , Norwegian Air Shuttle to Oslo and SAS Scandinavian Airlines to Copenhagen . Ryanair flies to London Stansted twice a week in the summer season . As of January 2018: Ryanair also operates the route to London Stansted in winter and also flies twice a week to Glasgow in summer. WizzAir flies twice a week to London Luton in winter and four times a week in summer.
