The Saidpur Airport ( Bengali সৈয়দপুর বিমানবন্দর , English Saidpur Airport ) is a small domestic airport in the same city Saidpur in district Nilphamari in northern Bangladesh .
In the 2012/13 year period, 7205 passengers used the airport. Freight was not loaded. This placed the airport in third place among the domestic airports in Bangladesh in terms of passenger volume - far behind Cox's Bazar and Jessore and ahead of Rajshahi and Barisal . The airport has an asphalt concrete runway 1829 meters long and 30 meters wide . Both landing directions are each equipped with precision approach glide angle lights. A rotating radio beacon (ID SDP on 115.8 MHz) and an omnidirectional radio beacon ( SDP ID on 268 kHz) serve as navigation aids for the approach .
