The Suceava Airport is a Romanian airport near the town of Suceava . It was opened in 1932 and was nicknamed the Moldovan voivod tefan cel Mare in 2005 .

Currently (2019) the Romanian flag carrier TAROM flies several times a day in the regular service from Suceava to Bucharest-Otopeni. In addition, WIZZ Air flies direct flights to London (Luton), Milan (Bergamo), Rome, Bologna, Vienna, Memmingen, Larnaca and Dortmund several times a week. Air Bucharest flies to Antalya. Suceava International Airport "Stefan cel Mare " , informally known as Salcea Airport, is located in the east of the Suceava Province, 12 km east of the center of the Suceava municipality and 30.5 km west of the center of Botosani. Access to the airport is via the European route E58 (DN29), which runs from Suceava to Botosani. The nearest train station is Suceava Station, about 9 km away, in the southern neighborhood of Burdujeni. The airport is at an altitude of 419 meters. It can also be reached by car and train from Ukraine, with the airport near the border.
