The Marbach is a two kilometer long right and south tributary of the Mergbach .

The Marbach rises in the Vorderen Odenwald in a wooded area west of the Stotz ( 478.1  m above sea level ). It initially flows in a north-westerly direction. In Reichelsheim - Groß-Gumpen , it crosses under Bundesstrasse 47 / Bundesstrasse 38 , here called Kriemhildstrasse , and flows a few meters further into the Mergbach .
