The Flugsportverein Sindelfingen eV is a club founded in 1953 for various types of air sports from Sindelfingen ( Baden-Württemberg ). Club history
The flight sport has in Germany and also in Sindelfingen a long tradition. The first alliances of flight enthusiasts took place there as early as 1926 . With some adventurous designs, the collapsed flyer at the time by the surrounding hills, for example at the Goldberg, on Maurener slope and later in Wildberg .
In 1953 the Flugsportverein Sindelfingen eV was founded in its present form. Together with the flying group from Böblingen , the flight area on the Hulb could be used. The expansion of the Stuttgart airport resulted in the closure of this airport in the early 1970s, and the clubs had to look around for a new place to stay.
This was found by the Flugsportverein Sindelfingen eV - together with the Flugsportclub Calw - in 1973 near the community of Bettenpfronn , on the edge of the Black Forest, which is both charming and attractive in aviation . With great joint efforts, the leased space was prepared and an aircraft hangar with utility rooms and bedrooms was built.
