Flux TV was a music television station that operated as an offshoot of the Berlin radio broadcaster Flux FM and was distributed via Ampya .

The program was launched on September 21, 2006 at Popkomm 2006 under the name Motor TV . On August 23, 2011 the station was renamed to Flux TV . With the hiring of Ampya , the distribution stopped.

program

Flux TV follows the concept of the associated radio station Flux FM . The aim is to offer artists and bands from the alternative , independent , punk and electro sectors a platform for their music videos . The program is clip-based, there is no moderation . As with Flux FM, the proportion of new products is around 50 percent. National artists receive the same attention as international ones. Flux TV sprinkles editorial sections and features into the music rotation, but never interrupts the flow of the music. In addition, selected user-generated content is broadcast.

Rubrics

  • New to Flux TV (presentation of new video clips)
  • International espionage (presentation of interesting musical discoveries from other countries)

history

Motor TV emerged from the radio station Motor FM . It is organized by the Platform for Regional Music Industry GmbH , in which Motor Entertainment GmbH is a minority shareholder. In addition to live streaming and DVB-H , the station could also be received via DVB-T on a test frequency for the first six months in Berlin and via DVB-C from cable network operator Kabel BW until 2008 .

On August 30, 2007, Motor TV won first place in the "Business Model" category and 2nd place in the "Creativity / Design" category at the presentation of the 1st German IPTV Awards.

After a dispute with this minority shareholder about the further direction of the radio station in particular, the station was renamed Flux TV on August 23, 2011 .

Until the transmission standard was discontinued, Flux TV was distributed via DVB-H . Then Flux TV was broadcast as a channel on Putpat. Putpat was taken over by ProSiebenSat.1 in 2015 and is now called Ampya .
