The Museo Bagatti Valsecchi is an art museum in Milan . It is located in Casa Bagatti Valsecchi between Via Santo Spirito 10 and Via Gesú 5 in the Montenapoleone district in the center of the city. The building dates from the 19th century and is in the neo -renaissance style. It exhibits works of art from the Renaissance period .

The brothers Fausto (1843–1914) and Giuseppe Bagatti Valsecchi (1865–1934) studied law. However, they were wealthy enough that they never had to work. They collected in addition to what was already inherited.

The collection of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum is presented in 17 gallery rooms with furnishings from the 19th century. The style of the house was adapted to that of the Lombard Renaissance in the two apartments of the brothers. Many works of art come from the Trecento , Quattrocento and Cinquecento . Renaissance Italian painting is represented by artists such as Giovanni Bellini , Gentile Bellini and Giampietrino , along with wood carvings , furniture , weapons and armor , ceramics , glassware , wallpaper and objects of art made of metals such as gold and ivory .

The house has been open to the public since 1994. The museum is one of the four buildings that are combined as the Case Museo di Milano . It is also a research center and venue for seminars and conferences.

The other houses are the Villa Necchi Campiglio , the Museo Poldi Pezzoli and the Casa-Museo Boschi Di Stefano in Milan. The foundation is the Fondazione Bagatti Valsecchi.
