For All Eternity is an Australian Christian modern metal and metalcore band from Sydney that was formed in 2008.

history

The band was formed in 2008 in south-west Sydney. A first demo was recorded in 2009 , which allowed the group to increase its popularity. In late 2010, guitarist Andrew Cornale and bassist Nathanael Edwards were replaced after a national tour. In 2011 followed a tour along the Australian east coast together with For Today . In 2012 the debut album Beyond the Gates was released via Taperjean Music . After switching to Facedown Records , the albums Metanoia and The Will to Rebuild followed in 2015 and 2017 respectively .

style

According to Brian Giffin in his Encyclopedia of Australian heavy metal band plays Christian influenced metalcore . Brody B. from indievisionmusic.com wrote in his review of Beyond the Gates that the band plays classic metalcore, incorporating the usual elements such as occasional clear vocals, screaming , growling and breakdowns . The group also occasionally used tremolo guitars. The music is not original, but the group makes up for it with skill and dedication. The text deals with Christian topics. The album is suitable for fans of the more poppy As I Lay Dying , Parkway Drive , Texas in July and The Devil Wears Prada . Anton Kostudis from Metal.de said that Metanoia is characterized above all by “clean, almost childishly naive vocals in the style of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA and BLESSTHEFALL ” and “electro- soaked breakdowns”. They rely on "the contrast between catchy melodies and subtly dissonant riffs , angry shouts with a subliminal hardcore attitude and theatrical clean vocals as well as 'classic' core elements and electronic gadgets". He assigned the music to metalcore and modern metal and recommended it to fans of The Devil Wears Prada, Architects and Northlane . According to Connor Welsh from new-transcendence.com , the band has now found itself on The Will to Rebuild . On the sound carrier, she dealt with topics such as despair, depression, oppression, depravity, beauty and a positive attitude. Overall, the album is based on an orchestral sound, with the group employing breakdowns, breaks , melodic passages, occasional electronic finesse and a now less aggressive or rough vocals.
