history

The group was founded in 2007 in Lancaster. The musicians were all still high school students . Their first demo was recorded shortly after the band formed and sold at local concerts. In 2008, the group received a recording contract with the local label CI Records (including August Burns Red , The Juliana Theory , The Pink Spiders were there under contract), where they produced and released their EP Salt of the Earth in the same year . Another year later followed the debut album I Am , which was released on June 2, 2009. The second edition appeared on September 15 of the same year. After that, the group toured for the first time with various greats of the metal scene such as August Burns Red , The Devil Wears Prada , Every Time I Die and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster . On July 15, 2010 the 2-track single Uncivilized was released . A week earlier, Texas signed with Equal Vision Records in July . On August 24th 2010 Logan Maurer played his last concert with the group. He left the group for personal reasons. Maurer is still in contact with his former band members.

Between September 3 and October 16, 2009, the group toured the This or The Apocalypse Tour and the Metal Christmas Tour, which took place between December 26, 2010 and February 11, 2011. The band's second album, One Reality, was released on April 26, 2011 via Equal Vision Records (North America) and Nuclear Blast (worldwide). It was produced by Chris Harris (called Zeuss), who previously worked with Suicide Silence and Chelsea Grin . One Reality landed at number 174 on the US charts .

As part of the European tour that started on June 23, 2012, the group performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting and the With Full Force . On this tour, which ran until July 21, 2012, the band could be seen in Germany , Italy , the United Kingdom , Belgium , France , Spain , Hungary and Austria . It should be the last tour for the album "One Reality". The successor is to be published this year.

The group has spent the past few months touring excessively. She played as support for bands like Impending Doom , Falling in Reverse , Woe, Is Me and Of Mice & Men . In addition, Texas played the full Warped Tour for the first time in July 2013 . The musicians were supported by JT Carvey ( vocals ) and Kyle Aherm ( lead guitar ) who temporarily replaced Alex Good and Christian Royer during the tour. However, no statement was published announcing a line-up change. In November and December 2013, the group toured with The Ghost Inside and Volumes as support for The Devil Wears Prada . On July 23, 2013, Reflections was released, a best-of album, which contains titles from the albums I Am , the Salt of the Earth EP and the single Uncivilized .

In the meantime, singer Alex Good left the band, so that Texas had no permanent lead singer for a long time in July. The group was supported on concert tours by JT Cavey, who was integrated into the band as the new lead singer in February 2014. The group also announced they are working on their third studio album, which will be released through Equal Vision Records . This is called Bloodwork and was released on September 16, 2014 in North America. In Europe the album was released through Redfield Records .

On April 17, 2015, the band announced their breakup after a farewell tour through Europe . The last internationally played concert will be in Tel Aviv , Israel . The band's very last concert will be at With Full Force in Roitzschjora . With the exception of the appearance at the Graspop Metal Meeting , Jera On Air , Morecore Festival and Full Force music festivals , the group is accompanied by Chelsea Grin and Walking with Strangers .
