Forever Still is a Danish alternative metal band that was formed in Copenhagen in 2010 .

history

Forever Still was founded in Copenhagen in 2010. The first EP, Breaking Free , was released three years after the company was founded, followed by the next in 2014. What front woman Maja Shining and multi-instrumentalist Mikkel Haastrup have achieved so far has been created entirely by their own hands, for years they have booked their tours themselves, shot their band photos, produced and mixed the songs with Flemming Rasmussen, who has already produced albums for Metallica, among other things , and made their own music videos.

In 2015 with the EP Save Me the band completed their first headlining tour in Great Britain . The debut album Tied Down was then released. In August 2016 the band signed a worldwide contract with Nuclear Blast . The album was then released again by the label. In October and November 2016 toured Forever Still with the Italian metal band Lacuna Coil by Europe . In spring 2017 a tour with Children of Bodom followed . The band was already working on their second studio album in 2018, which was announced for March 2019 with the release of the single Rew1nd on January 25, 2019. On March 29, 2019, Breathe in Colors was released , again via Nuclear Blast. All video productions for Breathe in Colors (with the exception of the cover song for Perfect Day ) were made in the Schwerte and Hagen area , in cooperation with the Ruhr Academy and filmmaker Daniel Jäger. In autumn 2019 Forever Still accompanied the Swiss progressive metal band Cellar Darling (former members of Eluveitie ) through Europe as well as the German metal band Beyond the Black on the Scandinavian part of the European tour. In September it was announced that they would be participating in the Female Metal Voices Tour 2019 alongside Leaves' Eyes and Sirenia .
