Fortunatus Hueber

Fortunatus Hueber (born November 21, 1639 in Neustadt an der Donau , † February 12, 1706 in Munich ) was a German Franciscan (OFM) , historian and theologian.

He entered the Franciscan order in 1654 and became cathedral preacher in Freising in 1671. From 1677 to 1680 he was Provincial of the Bavarian Franciscan Province , later General Definitor and General Lector. In his function as general commissioner of the order, he traveled to the Bohemian, Hungarian and Tyrolean provinces. He worked as a personal advisor to Prince Bishop Josef Clemens in Cologne.
