The fortune loosestrife ( Lysimachia fortunei ) is a species of the genus loosestrife ( Lysimachia ).
features
The Fortune Felberich is a perennial, herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 30 to 80 cm. The leaves are alternate, lanceolate, dotted with glands on the underside and measure 4 to 8 × 1 to 2 centimeters. The inflorescence is an upright, 5 to 10 centimeter long terminal cluster. The flowers are five-fold. The crown is white.
The flowering period extends from July to August.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 24.
Occurrence
The Fortune Felberich occurs in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and China on the banks of ponds and rivers.
use
Fortune loosestrife is rarely used as an ornamental plant for perennial beds. The species has been in culture since 1730 at the latest.
