Forza Nuova ( FN , German 'Neue Kraft') is a right-wing extremist political party in Italy based in Rome . It was founded in 1997 by Roberto Fiore and Massimo Morsello in Great Britain . The current chair is Roberto Fiore, who has been convicted in Italy of belonging to an illegal organization. The number of members is approx. 2500 people. Your publication organ is also called Forza Nuova .

The party is not represented in the Italian parliament . In the 2018 parliamentary elections , she ran in alliance with the equally right-wing extremist Fiamma Tricolore under the list name Italia agli Italiani ("Italy for the Italians"), the alliance received 0.4% of the vote. Previously, the FN had received around 0.3 percent of the votes in 2008 and 2013 alone .

The FN emerged from the Terza Posizione group, which grew into serious competition to the PCI and its youth organizations in the 1970s and early 1980s, especially in the Rome area .

In the European elections in Italy in 2004 , the FN ran as part of the Alternativa Sociale list , which received 1.2% of the vote and thus one seat. In 2008 the FN chairman Fiori took over the seat after Alessandra Mussolini had resigned.

The FN was a member of the European National Front founded in 2004 and is a member of the Alliance for Peace and Freedom founded in 2015 .

Like the Lega Nord and other right-wing parties in Italy, Forza Nuova is one of Russia's supporters in Europe. Official contacts between party leader Fiore and Russia began in 2012 with his participation in the “Russian-Italian trade dialogue” in Nizhny Novgorod . Since the beginning of 2014 and especially since the beginning of the war in Ukraine , the party has been increasingly pro-Russian. The FN supports the Russian annexation of Crimea . Since the Russian takeover, Fiore has regularly organized trips for Italian business people to the occupied peninsula. In August 2014 he took part in the conference "Russia, Ukraine, New Russia: Global Problems and Challenges" in Yalta with the Belgian fascist Luc Michel and other right-wing extremists . An FN delegation visited the International Family Forum in Moscow in September 2014. At the conference of the International Russian Conservative Forum in St. Petersburg in March 2015, Fiore represented the Alliance for Peace and Freedom , a European umbrella organization of right-wing extremist and neo-fascist parties. Fiore maintains contacts with Russian right-wing extremists such as Oleg Platonov and Alexander Prokhanov . The FN sees Russia as a defender against immigrants and IS . According to Fiore, the Russian people have a special historical role to play in representing the rebirth of Christian Europe. During a search in Italy, several weapons were apparently seized, which are related to founding members of the party.
