Foucarville is a town and commune Déléguée in the French commune of Sainte-Mere-Eglise with 124 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Manche in the region of Normandy .

With effect from January 1, 2016, the former communes of Beuzeville-au-Plain , Chef-du-Pont , Écoquenéauville and Foucarville were merged with the commune of Sainte-Mère-Église, creating a commune nouvelle with this name. It belonged to the Arrondissement of Cherbourg and the Canton of Sainte-Mère-Église .

geography

Foucarville is located on the Cotentin peninsula on the D14 department road near the coast. The area around Foucarville is flat and agricultural. During the Second World War there was an American prisoner of war camp in the small village .
