Commitment to children and young people with cancer

Swiss Research Foundation Child and Cancer

Because of his own cancer, Frédéric Barth is committed to the “Swiss Research Foundation for Children and Cancer”. Since cancer in children is almost always different from cancer in adults, this organization systematically supports childhood cancer research in order to increase the chance of a cure and improve treatment methods. In addition to raising public awareness, this also includes the acquisition of donations to advance research. Barth has been an ambassador for this research foundation for years and tries (e.g. by auctioning high-quality racing accessories) to organize financial resources for research into childhood cancer.

Events

In addition to supporting children's cancer research, Barth is also committed to making it easier for the children and adolescents affected to have the time of illness and the path to recovery. That is why he regularly organizes events to distract those affected from their illness and at the same time to ensure a stronger will and more motivation in the fight against cancer. Frédéric Barth himself was greatly helped by the positive emotions that fascination with motorsport brings with it during his fight against cancer and the side effects of chemotherapy. From his own experience, he tries to distract the children and young people from their worries with this fascination.
