Career in motorsport

Born in Portugal , da Rocha started racing in 2008 at the age of 55. For a professional racing driver, starting a career at this age would be impossible or impossible. One of his first races was the Dubai 24-hour race , where he competed for the first time in 2008 . In 2009 he finished second in the LMP2 overall ranking of the Asian Le Mans Series . Partners at Ibanéz Racing (the car was a Courage LC70 ) were team principal Jose Ibanéz and compatriot Damien Toulemonde .

In the following years there were races in the European and American Le Mans Series . In 2010 , at the age of 57, he made a late Le Mans debut and started working with Jacques Nicolet and OAK Racing just before the end of the season with ninth place at the Petit Le Mans . In 2011 he had his second outing at Le Mans and this year he also competed in the Sebring 12-hour race .

In recent years he has been involved in historic motorsport in the V de V Challenge Endurance Proto .
