François Arveuf

François Arveuf (also: Franciszek Arveuf , around 1850–1902) was a French architect who worked primarily in Warsaw and the surrounding area at the turn of the 20th century . He is counted among the most important Polish architects of the time.

Arveuf was a graduate of the École des Beaux Arts in Paris . Encouraged by a couple of Reszke brothers, he came to Poland in 1896 and lived there until his death. He worked in Volhynia , Mazovia and Warsaw especially for the wealthy nobility. In 1896 he was also involved in a hotel project on the site of the “Tivoli” on Warsaw's Królewska Street .
