Antoniny (Ukrainian Антоніни ; Russian Антонины ) is an urban-type settlement in the Khmelnitsky Oblast of Ukraine . The place is located on the river Ikopot and is 44 km north of the Oblast capital Khmelnytskyi .
In addition to the actual settlement, the villages Sakrynytschtschja ( Закриниччя ) and Rubljanka ( Рублянка ) also belong to the settlement council .
history
Antoniny was first named Chołodki in 1593 . The place belonged to various Polish noble houses, from 1850 to 1917 it was in the hands of the Potocki family , who had a larger property in the place. Between 1923 and 1962 Antoniny was also the seat of a district administration for the Antoniny district , in 1956 the place was given the status of an urban-type settlement .
