Poninka ( Ukrainian Понінка ; Russian Понинка , Polish Poninka ) is an urban-type settlement in the northeast of the Ukrainian Oblast Khmelnyzkyj with about 7,400 inhabitants (2014).
Poninka is located in the Polonne district on the border with Zhytomyr Oblast, 113 km northeast of the Oblast capital Khmelnyzkyj and 10 km northeast of the Polonne district center . The Chomora ( Ukrainian Хомора ), a 114 km long tributary of the Slutsch, flows through the place on the T-06-12 territorial road . The SsT Pershotrawensk lies 7 kilometers downstream .
The village, founded in 1740, received urban-type settlement status in 1938. In addition to the settlement itself, the settlement council also includes the villages of Lypiwka ( Липівка ) with about 70 residents and Lodzjaniwka ( Лодзянівка ) with about 180 residents.
