François Saint-Macary

François de Sales Marie Adrien Saint-Macary (born January 7, 1936 in Orthez , Pyrénées-Atlantiques , France ; † March 26, 2007 in Saint-Grégoire , Ille-et-Vilaine ) was Archbishop of Rennes .
Saint-Macary was ordained a priest on June 12, 1960 . In 1983 he was by Pope John Paul II. To Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Nice and succeeds Jean-Julien-Robert Mouisset the bishop appointed by the Nice; the episcopal ordination donated to him Jean-Paul-Marie Vincent . In 1997 he was first coadjutor archbishop of Rennes. Following Jacques Jullien , who resigned on September 1, 1998 , he was Archbishop of Rennes until his death in 2007.
