Françoise Seigner

Françoise Seigner (born April 7, 1928 in Paris ; † October 13, 2008 there ) was a French actress .

Life

The daughter of the actor Louis Seigner became internationally known for the role of the housekeeper in The Wolf Boy by François Truffaut . She mainly worked in the theater and had her most famous film roles alongside Truffaut's work as La Thénardier in The Legion of the Damned and as Richard Berry's film mother in The Young Husband . Since 1953 she was a member of the Paris National Theater Comédie-Française .

She was the aunt of Emmanuelle Seigner , Mathilde Seigner and Marie-Amélie Seigner .
