Life

Mathilde Seigner was born into a family of artists in 1968 as the daughter of a well-known photographer and journalist. Her grandfather was Louis Seigner (1903–1991), doyen of Comédie-Française , who was highly regarded in France , and her aunt was the actress Françoise Seigner . She is the sister of the actress Emmanuelle Seigner and the singer Marie-Amélie Seigner .

The actress, described as “boyish”, completed her training at the renowned Parisian Cours Florent , where the careers of Isabelle Adjani , Christopher Lambert and Sophie Marceau began. Seigner made her feature film debut in 1994 alongside her older sister Emmanuelle in a supporting role in Claude Miller's tragic comedy The Smile .
