Mathilde Seigner
Mathilde Seigner (born January 17, 1968 in Paris ) is a French actress .
Life
Mathilde Seigner was born into a family of artists in 1968 as the daughter of a well-known photographer and journalist. Her grandfather was Louis Seigner (1903–1991), doyen of Comédie-Française , who was highly regarded in France , and her aunt was the actress Françoise Seigner . She is the sister of the actress Emmanuelle Seigner and the singer Marie-Amélie Seigner .
The actress, described as “boyish”, completed her training at the renowned Parisian Cours Florent , where the careers of Isabelle Adjani , Christopher Lambert and Sophie Marceau began. Seigner made her feature film debut in 1994 alongside her older sister Emmanuelle in a supporting role in Claude Miller's tragic comedy The Smile . Her breakthrough came with her second film role in Christine Carrière's first film Rosine . The role of the young mother, who suffers from mood swings, and who is confronted with the return of her missing husband, earned her the Prix Michel Simon in 1995 .
Since then there have been regular appearances in other cinema productions. Seigner was seen as the sister of a transvestite show star (played by Johnny Hallyday ) in A Clean Affair (1997) or as rude and suicidal Samantha in Tonie Marshall's hit hit Schöne Venus (1999), while she made her debut in Christian Carion's film Eine Schwalbe Sommer played a young city dweller who dreams of life in the country at Michel Serrault's side . She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for the César for A Clean Affair and Beautiful Venus . She received another César nomination in 2001 for Dominik Moll's award-winning black comedy Harry means well with you , in which she and film husband Laurent Lucas have to fight off a psychopathic schoolmate (played by Sergi López ).
Mathilde Seigner, who also plays theater, is now one of the best-known and best-paid actresses in France. In 2006 she took third place behind Josiane Balasko and Karin Viard with an annual salary of 800,000 euros . In 2008 she topped the list published in Figaro with fees of 2.8 million euros .
Seigner, who was in the past with Anthony Delon, the son of Alain Delon , among others , has been living with the cameraman Mathieu Petit, whom she met while filming 3 amis (2007) , since 2006 . The relationship resulted in a son who was born on August 10, 2007.
