Francesco Prosperi

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Francesco Prosperi (often Franco Prosperi ; born September 2, 1926 in Rome , † October 17, 2004 ibid) was an Italian film director and screenwriter . He is not to be confused with his namesake, the Mondo film director Franco Prosperi .

Life

Prosperi began as Mario Bava's assistant director , with whom he also wrote some of his scripts. In 1965 he made his debut as Frank Shannon with the crime film Tecnica di un omicidio as a director. Over the years he has repeatedly presented solid action ware - happily more crime fiction ware - but also occasional comedies (with Lando Buzzanca and Alighiero Noschese ). At the end of his career, at the beginning of the 1980s, there were also very cheap barbarian films.
