Francis Emmanuel Ogbonna Okobo (born November 4, 1936 in Lejja ) is a Nigerian clergyman and emeritus bishop of Nsukka .

Life

Francis Emmanuel Ogbonna Okobo was ordained a priest for the diocese of Enugu on June 4, 1966 . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Nsukka on November 19, 1990 .

The Pope personally consecrated him bishop on January 6 of the following year; Co- consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Justin Francis Rigali , secretary of the Congregation for Bishops .

On April 13, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
