Francis Joseph Deep

Francis Joseph Tief (born March 7, 1881 in Greenwich , Connecticut , USA ; † September 22, 1965 ) was an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Concordia .

Life

Francis Joseph Tief received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Hartford on June 11, 1908 .

On December 16, 1920 Pope Benedict XV appointed him . to the Bishop of Concordia . The Bishop of the Diocese of Kansas City-Saint Joseph , Thomas Francis Lillis , donated him episcopal ordination on March 30 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Rockford , Peter James Muldoon , and the Bishop of Denver , John Henry Tihen .

On June 11, 1938, Tief resigned from his office and was replaced by Pope Pius XI. appointed titular bishop of Nisa in Lycia .
