Francis Augustine Thill
Francis Augustinus Thill (born October 12, 1893 in Dayton , Ohio , USA ; † May 21, 1957 ) was an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Salina .
Life
Francis Augustinus Thill received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati on February 28, 1920 .
On August 24, 1938, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Concordia . The Archbishop of Cincinnati, John Timothy McNicholas OP , donated him episcopal ordination on October 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Dubuque , Francis Joseph Beckman , and the Bishop of Denver , Urban John Vehr .
When the diocese of Concordia was renamed the Diocese of Salina on December 23, 1944, Thill also became Bishop of Salina.
