John Timothy McNicholas
John Timothy McNicholas OP (born December 15, 1877 in Kilmaugh , Ireland , † April 22, 1950 ) was Archbishop of Cincinnati .
Life
John Timothy McNicholas joined the religious order of the Dominicans at and received on 10 October 1901, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On July 18, 1918, Pope Benedict XV appointed him . to the Bishop of Duluth . The Apostolic Administrator of Genoa , Tommaso Pio Cardinal Boggiani OP, ordained him episcopal on September 8 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for Extraordinary Church Affairs, Archbishop Bonaventura Cerretti , and the secretary emeritus of the Index Congregation , Curia Bishop Hermann Joseph Thomas Esser OP. The inauguration took place on November 15, 1918.
On July 8, 1925, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Archbishop of Cincinnati.
